We have just three days to go in the campaign… it all ends Thursday at 12 pm PT! As we approach the end, we’d also like to look to the future with a survey about what YOU want for future DC DBG titles. CLICK HERE to respond to the survey… we want to hear from fans like you!

We haven’t hit the social media stretch goal we announced on Friday quite yet. So, as a reminder, you’ll unseal a wonderful oversized Character for Flashpoint, if you can accomplish the following on social media:

More Stretch Goals Unsealed

Over the weekend, you unsealed LOTS of stretch goals! First, you unsealed three Kickstarter Exclusive cards: the Felix Faust oversized Character ($605k) and Doctor Fate Nemesis card ($610k) for the Justice League Dark Expansion and the Emperor Aquaman oversized Character ($620k) for Flashpoint. At $630k, another Starter card for Justice League Dark was upgraded! This time, we're replacing a Punch in every Starter deck with an Incantation (4 upgraded cards total). This Starter upgrade also has the ability to Transform into another card; you'll be able to Seal it away to gain a Sealing Spell from its stack! After that, you unsealed three more Kickstarter Exclusives for Justice League Dark: the Deadman oversized Character ($640k) and Cloak of Cyra ($645k) and Breastplate of Hoku cards ($650k) .

Help Unseal More Stretch Goals! PREVIEW: Rebirth One-Shot Pack 2 – Time Heist
about 1 year ago – Thu, Jul 20, 2023 at 01:16:35 PM

DC DBG fans,

One week left in the campaign! We still have lots of stretch goals to go, so how can you help unseal them? Here are three ways:

1) Choose any add-ons you want on Kickstarter rather than waiting until the pledge manager.

2) Add the estimated shipping cost to your pledge. You can do that by choosing to “Manage your pledge” and adding to your pledge in an amount corresponding to the shipping cost listed for your pledge tier. Even if shipping ends up costing more in the pledge manager (due to add-ons or VAT), this extra amount can be applied toward shipping.

3) Spread the word about the Kickstarter on social media with this handy link: https://bit.ly/DCDBG-JLD

Speaking of stretch goals, you’ve unsealed a card featuring Sabina for Rivals – Shazam! vs. Black Adam at $575k. And at $580k, the first Flashpoint stretch goal… The Resistance Timeline-Up card!

Closer Look: One-Shot Pack 2 – Time Heist

Before we look at some of the new cards from this pack, let’s talk a little bit about how One-Shot Scenarios work. Each One-Shot Scenario can either be played as a standalone game or be inserted into an ongoing Campaign. If you are playing the Scenario outside of a Campaign, you can choose to play with Standard or Impossible Mode difficulty (no spoilers on what that means if you haven’t finished a Campaign yet!) and you’ll use all of your Character’s Signature cards. Since Location destruction doesn’t matter as much in a standalone game as it does in a Campaign, there are also additional penalties for Locations being damaged and destroyed.

One-Shot Scenarios can also be played between the normal Scenarios of a Rebirth Campaign. You’ll continue to use the main deck and starter deck cards you’ve already unlocked during the previous Scenarios. Cards unlocked as well as Location damage sustained will carry over for the rest of the Campaign.

The first of this Rebirth expansion’s Characters we’ll look at is Vixen. She has the ability to tap into the Lifeweb and channel the abilities of any animal. Since Vixen has a diverse power set, her Character ability rewards her for playing a variety of different cards.

Vixen’s first Signature card lets her grab a Super Power from your discard pile, already putting her halfway to triggering her Character ability. Tap the Lifeweb upgrades a Run to give you the ability to look at the top 2 cards of your deck and choose to discard or return them. You can use this to cycle past the weaker cards of your deck, or even discard a Super Power to grab with Tantu Totem.

The Atom also makes his Super Hero debut in this Rebirth expansion. With his shrinking abilities, The Atom’s Character focuses on low-cost cards. Playing a card with cost 1, 2, or 3 during your turn allows him to jump into your discard pile and grab another low-cost card.

The Atom’s first two Signature cards don’t have any additional effects when played, but can be revealed from your hand once per turn if a certain event happens. If a nearby Character draws a card they don’t want, you can reveal Atom Suit to let them cycle the drawn card for another. When another Character moves into The Atom’s space, you can reveal Catch a Ride and grab a Move card from his discard pile.

Vixen and The Atom are teaming up to stop Chronos’s Time Heist. Chronos’s ability to hop in and out of time make him impossible to defeat. Whenever you defeat him, instead of adding him to the destroyed pile, he hops back into the main deck to appear again in the future.

Chronos’s Attack tries to send you back in time as it discards the cards you bought from your deck, leaving you with your less powerful cards.

Supporting Chronos in this pack is the living vat of chemicals, Chemo. This new Villain has a destructive Attack that will either damage Locations or destroy cards from the cityscape. Defeating Chemo will also cause you to destroy a nearby card. If you time it right, you may be able to destroy another Villain in the process.

This pack comes with another two Side Missions for players to complete. Rather than looking at the missions, let’s go over the cards you get from completing them.

Hawkman provides you with Move and Power. Having an Equipment available for Hawkman to use gives you an additional Power boost. Firestorm provides you even more Move and the ability to transform unwanted cards in your hand into cards from your deck.

That’s it for this One-Shot. Next time, we’ll take a look at more cards from all the different new sets available during this campaign.

Thanks for your support,

What’s Up Our Sleeves?
about 1 year ago – Wed, Jul 19, 2023 at 12:29:39 PM

DC DBG fans,

We are planning to show some more cards in an upcoming update. So, tell us: Which  characters from the various games/expansions are you hoping to see?

Now let’s talk about sleeves! One of the most requested items in last year’s Kickstarter was sleeves… both for DC DBG standard and oversized cards. So we thought we’d give you a closer look at the sleeves we're offering in this campaign!

In terms of specs, both the Standard and Oversized Card Sleeves will have a clear layer made out of cast unoriented polypropylene film with a thickness of 90 microns. The printed layer (the back) will have a matte finish. The Standard Card Sleeves are sized for 2.5” x 3.5” cards and come in a pack of 100 for $10. The Oversized Card Sleeves are sized for 3” x 4” cards (DC DBG oversized Character cards) and come in a pack of 50 for $10.

Our game designers are pretty obsessed with making sure we deliver the best sleeves possible, so we will be working closely with our factory to get the feel to be perfect.

More Stretch Goals!

Since yesterday’s update, you’ve unsealed two Kickstarter Exclusive stretch goals: thicker tokens (1mm thicker) for Justice League Dark at $565k and a card featuring Bolt for Rivals – Shazam! vs. Black Adam at $570k!

Thanks for backing,
